English-language (for foreign patients) and outpatient services temporarily discontinued
Effective April 1, 2024, due to logistics and various other circumstances, we will temporarily discontinue foreign patient care and outpatient services, as well as online services.
We would have liked to continue these services, however, due to the renewal of our staff's visa there is a possibility that we may not be able to maintain the system in the long-term.
Since our clinic focuses on psychotherapy the hours are longer than usual and presently cannot increase staff numbers. Therefore, we will not be able to treat high-risk patients who require multiple visits.
There are also aspects of cultural differences that are under consideration, such as higher body temperatures, differences in prescription medicines, and challenges with communication.
We will continue to treat foreign-born patients and those with addictions who currently attend our clinic. If you visit unannounced we will ask you to transfer to another hospital with a larger support staff.
In the future, when a patient with a terminal diagnosis requests a referral letter, we will only respond via written correspondence or online medical care, and will prohibit in-person visits and telephone complaints.
Since the medical systems and human resources vary depending on the size of the hospital, we may transfer patients if their condition(s) worsens to a degree that cannot be handled at our hospital.
Thank you for your understanding.
